prject headphnes. drifts in the spaces between silence and memory. Built on the SP-404 MKII and Koala Sampler, each track is a fragment—minimal loops, muted textures, and rhythms that feel more like breathing than beats.

Titles like “fog” and “until the dust settles (never)” point toward places that never quite resolve. These aren’t songs in the traditional sense—they’re snapshots, lingering moments where the world slows down just enough to listen.
Conceived during a season of winding down and with RC on the brink of retirement, the project carries the weight of unfinished visuals and half-dreamed concepts. What remains is raw, fragile, and strangely intimate: music that invites you to lean in, as if you’re overhearing something not meant to be spoken out loud.

VIIBRANCY is the sound of resilience. Built entirely on the Koala Sampler, every track is stitched from raw samples into something alive, upbeat, and boom-bap heavy. It was created in a storm—my mother passed while I was in the middle of making it—but the record became a way forward, a reminder that sound can carry you through when words can’t.

This isn’t an album of mourning; it’s one of persistence. The drums hit harder, the loops move with urgency, and every beat feels like a spark refusing to fade. When the track TAR got featured on Accurate Beats’ YouTube livestream, with a comparison to DJ Shadow, it felt like proof: these vibrations reached outside my own room.

VIIBRANCY celebrates survival through sound. It’s chaotic, punchy, sample-driven, and alive—music made not in spite of loss, but through it.

This record is a collaboration in spirit. The beats mix dusty lo-fi textures with crushing boom-bap weight. The final master was handled by Trevor Wright (my longtime friend and the engineer behind much of Alchemist’s label:ALC records catalog) — a hand I trust to bring grit and clarity.

On top of that: for the limited beat tape run, the cover art was done by Brooklyn street artist Reggie Warlock — putting visual edge next to sonic edge.
Furlough is both comeback and statement. It’s about absence and presence. The grooves ask you to lean in, to feel the layers, to hear time compressed. After years away, this is my way of stepping back in — but on my own terms.
